Vacation's over, back on the ship right in time fo
A friend and I are looking to spend the first week of July in the PDC - or Palmuul area (we like Palmull, cause it's off the beaten track) we're looking to do both Cenotes and reef diving. We might go over to Coz one day as well....but we do really want to be on the mainland.

We're obviously trying to do this as inexpensively as possible. Anyone have any ideas about some options? We're not looking for fancy...but more along the lines of a simple, decent place to stay <grin>.

To the best of my knowledge, there is no such place as "Palmuul" or "Palmull."

Could you by some chance mean, "Paamul?"

Best regards.

Just a few minutes up the road in Playa del Carmen is a nice inexpensive place called The Pelicano. Very reasonably priced and clean. Search online and you should find it.

We stayed in Puerto Morelos just south of Cancun in a very nice apartment close to the shore (www.cancuncabanas.com), got groceries for breakfast and lunch at the Walmart in Cancun. We dove with Mystic Diving in P.M. (www.mysticdiving.com). the apartment and dive shop were both reasonably priced. Dinners out in Puerto Morelos were good to great, but not inexpensive.
