Well then i guess the odds are in my favor, and their are other concerning deadly diving incidents more likely to happen....

It's a strange thing. He was once one of ScubaBoard's most prolific posters, and then he totally disappeared. That happens a lot, actually, and I mentioned his departure once in a thread. Someone responded that he was still active, and I looked and, lo and behold, he was. He was making occasional posts in very out of the way threads, staying out of the main topics completely. I sent him a private message, and I got a pleasant but noninformative response. He has posted as recently as 2018.
