Im just a kid who is ready to get certified. I just wanted to introduce myself and I plan on getting certified soon. I live near Salem MA and I do a lot of snorkeling. Diving is almost like a family tradition. My dad started when he was 13/14 and I am 13. The only thing I need to do know is figure out how who to get certification (if that is a word) from. So anyway Hi everyone!

Have you seen our New Divers and Those Considering Diving - ScubaBoard forum?

Not only is it a good forum, but there is a sticky thread called http://www.scubaboard.com/forums/new-divers-those-considering-diving/287780-how-find-excellent-scuba-class.html. You'll find a lot of great info on getting certified.

AWESOME Derek. Welcome to Scubaboard.
I recommend that you check you the Teens forum and for info about your local dive sites and dive shops check out the forum for the NE US. There are a lot of divers in that area who can help you find a good instructor.
