Good morning guys! I'm completely new to scuba diving. I've done a number a snorkelling excursions, and always wanted to start scuba diving. I've recently decided that even though I can barely afford it, I needed to get out and get certified... I'll figure out the money later ;)

I'm actually starting my certification tomorrow and I'm looking forward to it. I'm also looking forward to being part of this board as the level of participation seems amazing, and the advice and support very relevant.

For example, I'll be looking forward in discussing the equipment my dive center is suggesting (AquaLung ProLT and Apeks XTX200) as well as whether I should go Wet or Semi-Wet (I know the name doesn't make sense) as I'm probably have to cope with relatively cold water here in Canada ;)

So thanks for the welcome, and looking forward to talking to all of you! (Could be in French as well, ça permet de parler dans notre langue!)
