turtle-and-seahorse whisperer.

I posted these because I was just flipping thru them to satiate my Bonaire jones until I can get back there.

These were some of her finds during our July father/daughter trip. Dad was swimming along obliviously, randomly pointing the Gopro. Periodically she'd get my attention with something extraordinary.

I swarm right over this one (well hidden in the bush) and didn't see it:

And this one nearly ran me down before I saw it:

And there is nothing like staring straight at them and not seeing them - until your small child points them out - repetitively. I blame it on old eyes:

The little heifer - I mean my darling daughter - also found an orange frog fish, but it happened on the day I didn't take the gopro, because I was going to focus on finding cool stuff.

For those who have seen these, sorry. Not very good photos because I'm a not very good photo-grapher. I too have seen them before. They have served their purpose this time and will again I'm sure.

And then there was this. I was shocked (shocked!!) to discover my (24yo) young child drank beer**. My BonaireBeerBudget was shocked as well.

There are few things in life that I enjoy more than sharing a dive with my wife and daughter. Great family activity.

I've found that getting my daughter into diving early, that this is an activity that we can continue to enjoy together as we both get older.

As far as beer and budget on Bonaire, luckily amstel and polar are inexpensive.

Both of my girls and my wife dive and we've had some really great trips. I always thought my youngest (above) was the fish, but last summer the eldest demonstrated that she had it dialed in as well. I'm thrilled to get to dive with them now that I'm old and they're a bit older and mostly human (24 and 27 yo's), and also thrilled/proud that they have their act together in the water. (it's good to have tank sherpas :D)
