Octopus are all over the dive sites at the moment and I have a lot of ho-hum it's another occy shots so thought I would start experimenting.

I very much value your feedback on if it works for you or not, what you do like or don't really like etc...it's all learning as well as enjoying looking!

The white spots on the occy itself? They are a part of him (or sand on him), I'd hate to start mucking with cloning etc. Or are you seeing something else?
 
Detail is always nice, I'm biased because besides turtles, Octos are my favorite sea creature. But personally I never tire of seeing a sucker or tenticle. This is a wonderful composition but I find myself searching the edges of the picture for the scroll bars :)
 
Wow I love this photo, other persons perhaps notice different things.

When I look at this shot though, the texture, wrinkles and details on the octopus' head are amazing.
Almost looks like he's most upset with you for waking him up or disturbing him :).
