I thought I'd start this thread as we all know how certain nationalities tend to be very down on the English - especially over sport issues! Maybe it'll give them somewhere to rant/gloat etc. and stop them hijacking other threads!!!:eyebrow:

But to the title topic:
First we lost the football.
Then we lost the rugby.
Then we lost the cricket.
Then we lost the tennis.

Yup - a very bad week for English sport - especially seeing that we invented all of the above!!!

Thank God I'm going diving at the weekend - and the fish don't seem to mind I'm English!

OK guys - now's your chance - give it your best shot - bring it on.........................

Ok, I'll bite! Don't know anything about cricket and rugby but as for the others:

tennis - Henman was seeded 5 and he got to where he should have got, the last 8 but not the last 4

football - the team performed realistically.

My view is that English expectations are way too high and way removed from reality.

But then again, easy for me to say because up north we have no expectations whatsoever so losing all the time isn't a problem! We are glorious in defeat!!
