Did you hear the one about a humpback whale that tried to hitch a ride near Australia.

I'll bet it was frightening....but an awesome sight to behold.

Wow! That's an experience and a half. Am somewhat concerned, though, that the caption for the photo suggests the whale was injured? Was it injured before or after it became intimate with the yacht? Would be interested in suggestions as to what prompted this behaviour as well - playfulness, aggression, or just a breach gone very wrong?

Looks like Migaloo, the only known albino humpback whale survived the ordeal with no major injuries.

That, I would say, is extremely good news.

Now if everyone would just leave him alone........
