Has anyone tried these. They look like any other basic 3mm wet glove, is there anything special about them?

they are great liners. The only drawback i have found with them is that i need to have an outer glove large enough to accommodate them and allow room for air. Which just isn't possible with marigolds, the largest i have found is xxl, but with smurf gloves or anything else they are great.

If you rip a glove and your hand gets flooded, i typically just take the glove off and go with the liner.

Just confirmed they are only 1.5mm for $38. Am I missing something?

Nope, the price varies from place to place. But they work great as long as you an ge tair in the glove. If the tear they work just like wet gloves. Actually if you can get 1.5mm neoprene gloves buy them hey will do the same thing.
