150g to 200g fleece still recommended.
This. 4 mm drysuit is warmer than a shell, but it’s not magically warm. I have a 3 mm neoprene drysuit. I’ve done dives at 50 degrees with the seaskin 150 g thinsulate undersuit and I was a little bit cold.

Make sure you have a good, thick hood and gloves. If you hands and head are covered, feeling a bit chilly in the body is more bearable IMO.

I dove Monterey last winter in a 4/3 surf suit with a 3mm shorty and 2mm vest layered underneath, I was happy as could be. Toes were a little cold having my booties not tucked in. Point being its all up to your tolerances.

Too much layering, too much putting on and taking off, too much buoyancy shifts, too much rinsing and taking care of stuff, simply too much of too much stuff.
