I'm a Fish!
I started to mess around with two INON UCL165ADs on my FIX S90/28AD and have found the narrow focus range easy enough to deal with on land but underwater has been a different story. I have found the single 165Ad to be a lot easier to get good results with and have just started trying out the stacked lenses.

Test shots taken with two stacked UCL165Ads and lens zoomed to 105mm the effective focus range is +/- 1.5cm which is roughly around 3.5 to 6.5cm from the front of the UCL165AD.

I was using an INON LE550W Focus/Video light for illumination. I would normally use an S2000 strobe but did not feel lake getting the whole rig setup.

I have tried to play with the depth of field at 105mm (max tele on the S90 at 105mm) to see how much difference F8 (smallest) and F4.9 (widest).

In practice, I am wondering if the sacrifice in shutter speed to maintain F8 is worth the slight advantage in DOF or would a faster shutter be the better choice with the slight sacrifice in DOF ?

In the test photos above. The fonts are around 1.5mm tall so you can see there is a lot of magnification with the stacked UCL165ADs.

If anyone has any experience with these can provide some tips and techniques with these MACRO lenses at this magnification, it would be much appreciated.
