Hi guys this is my second vid from my first time using underwater video. Just a short vid of the British Merchant navy ship SS Thistlegorm which lies in the Red Sea at 31 metres.
She was bombed in 1941 and still has shells, rifles, aircraft wings, boots, trucks and motorcycles amongst other things in her holds.
As before camera is Canon HF100 in an Ikelite housing.
I think the camera performed quite well considering the shallowest part is 25 metres and I have no lights.
Inside the hold you have to very careful to avoid a silt out. I directed my friend where to shine his torch and the result is quite eerie.
Critique welcome.

Very good video, the intro sets the mood up correctly, the music is fitting, and that water is beautiful. Question: What song was that, and by whom? Just curious.

As far as critique, I don't have much to say, really. You were very smooth and slow with the camera: that is good. The most beautiful scenery in the world can be quite ruined by a camera that is moving quickly and jerky, it tends to make people nauseous. So Kudos! I also like how you were playing the safety stop in reverse at the end, made me go "Whoa!" for a minute before I caught on.

Very good job, my man. Very good.

Peace,
Greg

Thanks man! The music is Shine on you crazy diamond by Pink Floyd.

excellent vid gunsrunner. very pro.
Lee, a few years back someone lifted one of those BSAs illeagally, cleaned it up and sold it. How they got it up and how they got it out the country is anyones guess.

Very nice work, although I was expecting for something to happen when the drama picked up in the music :)

I've been thinking about getting a HF S21 with Ikelite housing as well. What's your experience so far and are there any functionalities that you miss with the housing?

Well Im using an Hf100 dunno about the s21. Im new to this and its first time Ive used video underwater.
You can access every funtion on the camcorder with the housing. I didnt MWB because I just wanted to get comfortable holding the unit on this trip. I'm really pleased with the results Ive got so far. Even at 35 metres I got good results with no lights.

Nice video. Good music choice.

I think you and I have a similar editing style. I did a wreck video using the 2nd half of the same song. I ended up converting the entire video to black and white in editing. I think it added a mystery feeling and reminder the wreck had been down there a long time. Just an option you can try to see if you think it adds anything to an already good video.
