Went to Dauin and Azure last year for a week, this year 2 1/2 weeks in late Feb, early March. I'm always pleasantly surprised that I can be swimming along on seemly barren, gray sand when suddenly there's a snake eel popping up, or a paired-up goby & shrimp hole, or yet another great nudi. Diving is easy here - close, shallow, not much current, critter rich environment, and pretty affordable.
Also can't say enough good things about Azure. Owner, Glenn Carballo is really friendly and knowledgeable, guides are great, boats are in good condition and they do nitrox on site. Beatriz is of the best restaurants in town. The grounds and rooms are immaculate. Go here, dive this!
