Maricopa County Parks Department has announced the date for the 2nd Annual Lake Pleasant Dive Days scuba event. The event, the only scuba event in the Phoenix area, will be held on Saturday May 2nd from 8 am to 3 pm just west of the 10 lane boat ramp on the west side of the lake. Scheduled events included a "Lobster Hunt", Treasure hunt, Obstacle course and a Navigation course for scuba divers as well as a greased watermelon race for snorkelers. Additionally, local Public Safety dive teams will be giving demos as well as local dive centers offering " Try Scuba Diving" and " Try Snorkeling" programs. Prizes will be given away in a raffle as well as for the treasure hunt and "lobster hunt". Entry to the event is free unless you plan on diving then there is a $10 fee. Currently the following dive centers are offering $2 off coupons, Inland Water Divers (Goodyear), Sports Chalet (numerous valley locations) and The Scuba Shop (Mesa). Come out and join the fun!
