So we just had to book it! :D This will be our first trip to Bonaire after many years of thinking about going. We'll be arriving early morning 2/28 for 7 nights with our 3-year old daughter. We're hoping we can find a place that will be good for a young one and good for fellow guest who prefer not to be around them. So we're taking suggestions and would be especially interested in hearing from other's that have taken little ones to the island. However, this won't be her or our first rodeo... we've taken her to Cozumel our last 4 trips. Any references for babysitters would be helpful as well.

We'll be looking to get in a lot of shore diving and meeting up with fellow SBer's for some diving or dining.

What airline?

Continental... sorry thought that would have been obvious to those interested since I mentioned it was direct from Houston. I didn't even think of the benefits of advertising such a deal as we watched 16 available seats turn into 2 over the course of a couple hours.

I am really happy for you and wish I could join you. It certainly is a good fare.

Wish you could too Jeff.... maybe next time?

That is one smoke'n deal! Two things you have to do, get a copy of Bonaire Shore Diving Made Easy by Susan Porter and get on Bonaire Talk - The place to discuss everything and anything about Bonaire! to get specific questions answered. Have a great trip and Bonaire will spoil all other Carib diving for you. The islands reefs are what all Carib reefs should look like.

Wow, what an awesome deal! You could contact SB member phelana. She's a travel consultant who lives on Bonaire. I'm sure she could recommend a babysitter/place to stay. Her website is http://www.bonairecaribbean.com/ Hope you have a great trip!

driftwood, Martha... thanks for the tips! That was actually going to be my first question today regarding a guide to dive sites. Soon after booking, I discovered bonairetalk.com forum after seeing this forum on SB not as active... which honestly was a downer since I love SB.

Don't bother with the guide books that LDS's sell. BSDME is the best dive guide for the island on the market. Have a great trip!
