If you are a professional level diver looking to join Industry Leading, Multiple Award Winning Platinum rated PADI IDC Course Director Holly Macleod in the Gili Islands, Indonesia in 2019 the schedule is now available.

2019 will see many changes on the PADI Instructor Development Course (IDC) with Holly and now professional divers can gain access to the 2019 PADI IDC Schedule. In 2019 there will be 10 opportunities to join this exceptional training opportunity. The dates for the following 10 sessions include the PADI IDC Preparation (4 days), the PADI IDC Scuba Diving Instructor Development Course (13 Days), the PADI IE (2 days) and the EFRI Emergency First Response Instructor Course (2days) which are all scheduled in this consecutive order meaning that candidates can have some flexibility around these dates. Candidate arrival dates and departures can be adjusted as the PADI IDC Preparation and the EFRI course can be altered to suit candidate schedules, but the PADI Scuba Diving Instructor Development Course (IDC) and PADI IE dates are fixed and must be attended unless candidates have participated in E Learning or are crossing over from another organization.

So the 10 Scheduled 2019 opportunities are…….

Session 1 January 12 - February 2

Session 2 February 16 - March 9

Session 3 March 23 - April 13

Session 4 April 28 - May 19

Session 5 May 25 - June 15

Session 6 July 6 - July 27

Session 7 August 10 - August 31

Session 9 October 19 - November 9

Session 10 November 23 - December 14

Other new things happening in 2019 include an increased focus on teamwork orientated activities aimed and promoting the idea of brainstorming, planning, organizing and conducting underwater training activities together, as generally happens within busy Dive shop environments. Although the PADI IDC Gili Islands Program already includes a planning and organizational workshop for experienced divers; there will be a new increased focus on continuing education courses such as the PADI Advanced Diver Course, PADI Rescue Diver Course and Divemaster training. The IDC will address the required level of supervision for experienced divers and how this differs from entry level training as well as the appropriate standards for conducting these programs. Another fun addition will be the Gili IDC Theory App which is very basic in design making it simple to install and use. Essentially the App is based around a Dive Theory Quiz, designed for candidates to download and test their own personal dive theory knowledge in their own time and in a fun way. The quiz will allow candidates to score points and collect coins allowing them to unlock levels, go 50:50 on a question or phone a friend. Hopefully this new initiative gives candidates in 2019 more options in the way in which they study.

For those looking to sign up to this great training opportunity you will find more information on the Gili Islands PADI IDC Website as well as a way to easily contact Platinum PADI Course Director Holly Macleod.
