Hi folks,

I have a D80 in a Fantasea housing and a SB800. I want to add a second flash, another SB800, and I was wondering about firing it through CLS without optical cable between them. Has anyone tryed it?

Jack... I think you are the guy...:54:

You need the cable between them. Be aware that the FSB800 housing has been discontinued by Fantasea. I suspect they're working on one for the SB-900. I can't get anymore, but some dealers may have stock.

Thanks Jack for the information. I've been diving in the Canary Islands and tryed to fire both flashes without the optical cable between them, the resulst were very poor. The master must be "looking" to the remote to fire it.

I've get a cable from 10bar, where should I stick both cable ends? On the IR sensors?

Many thanks in advance.

One on the flash, one on the IR sensor.
Jack

Thanks, Jack, I've already tryed it and it works :)

Have you tried the Sigma 10-20 with the zoom dome?

In the Fantasea 5" dome? Reports from a customer are that it will fit, barely with the zoom control. But you probably will get some vignette above around 13mm.

The 12-24 fits pretty well.

The 12-24 fits pretty well but, does it focus without any close up lens? The Sigma minimum focus distance is 24 cms vs 30 cms for the Nikon

Yes, either a diopter or an extension ring is necessary. At least with the Nikon.
