Has anyone gone to Bonaire and stayed a few months? (I think the max is 3 months at a time)

I'm planning on doing my Divemaster cert. there next year and need a place to stay for 2-3 months. Does anyone know how I should go about finding a place? I can't afford to pay vacation prices. My budget is more along the lines of $400-$700 per month for rent. Am I way off base with that budget?
