Hello, I am a new diver. Im putting my Pressure gauge onto my 1st stage, same with my inflator hose, Drysuit hose. Im not top notch into the diving mech world so dont laugh at me. Im learning, Just wondering if the pressure gauge is LP or HP? I do know that the drysuit and bc inflator is LP, I just dont know if the Pressure gauge or octo is HP or LP.

The pressure gauge is HP- high pressure- this is how the SPG "knows" how much pressure is in the tank. Everything else is LP- low pressure (or intermediate pressure).

Be sure not to overtighten or undertighten the fittings. :D

If the SPG and first stage are "new" (as in made anytime since the late 1970's) the HP ports will be 7/16" and the LP ports will be either 3/8" or 1/2". This prevents a diver from mistakenly putting an LP hose into an HP port - which would cause the LP hose to burst within a few seconds of pressurizing the reg.

So it's pretty idiot proof by design.

The exception to this rule is the "new" Phoenix nozzel designed as an upgrade for older double hose regs. It provides HP and LP ports for new equipment, but all the ports are 3/8" as was the original custom in the dive industry. But if you have one of those, you probably have the differences figured out as they are pretty much a specialty item for vintage divers.

Nope its all set up. Thanks guys ill tell you how it worked out today, Going diving right now.
