This photograph is dated 1956. Can anyone name all of the spearguns? I have the answers and will reveal them later.

I could name them all if I went to Ron Mullins site. He probably has the biggest and best collection in the world.Site is Skin Diving History. But I have better things to do. 2nd one down could be a pee wee.I do have the 3rd one down A French Hurricane gun,the 4th looks like a wood Japanese gun I had one.and the 5th is a Reef Raider. 6th could be a Mordem 7th maybe a Nemrod. By probably not.

Hey Mike, thanks for the link to Ron's site. Never seen that before!

Mike & Doc Ed
Ron does not own most of the guns -- he took pictures of guns owned by private collecors for his site.

Ron has now disappeared in to the wilds of Baja Mexico and is seldom heard from..

The first-top- gun is a Desco..made in US 1950s to mid 1950s...two models were made pistole & rifle..this is the rifle...never a popular gun.

The ID of the rest will need to be put on hold until Friday when I return,

Your turn Mike

Hello Doc Ed no problem. It's nice site for gun info for sure. Hello Sam,I did notice I haven't seen Ron on ebay in a long time. I have tried calling him a few times but only get the answering machine. Now I know why.

The written information on the back of the photograph states that the spearguns were owned by a diver named Lew Maxwell who owned a dive shop near Miami, Florida. From top to bottom, the spearguns are identified as:
Early rubber-propelled gun with line reel.
Barracuda double-strand rubber gun, made in U.S.
Arbalete Hurricane from France with mechanical cocking device.
Japanese gun-stock rifle.
Reef Raider, rubber-propelled gun made in Miami.
Mordem, an Italian cartridge rifle.
Nemrod, a Spanish compressed-air gun.

The latest model is a Comodoro Nemrod, I have the Almirante, the difference is that the almirante had palacas system as the cruise, my speargun is not.
