Anyone have any experience diving there, specific boats ect?

I'm looking not just for myself and hubby who are certified, but also considering it as a 'look what we've got' option for when my younger sister comes to visit me in oz. She's bringing a few friends and seeing GBR is high up on the list. Prices for airfares up to cairns might not be viable and I'm looking at other options.

Plus, I've seen some good looking options for certified divers, just wondering if anyone has firsthand exp with 1770 since it's only a days drive north of Bris.

hey, i;ve just arrive up in 1770 to work for a while with a dive center here, if you want some info i'm happy to give it. we die out on the reef every day if we get the chance and give the opportunity for snorkelers and certified divers alike to get the experience to get out on the gbr. We are one of very few operators who go out of 1770 to the reef and we take the least number of guests out so you really get away from the crowds and get to see it all for yourself. we offer snorkelling, certified diving and introductory diving as well. if you want more info check out www.1770unerseaadventures.com.au or private message me!! hope i can help!!
