Oh sorry was i supposed to lose my sense of humour when i got the job, should i also mention that I am a Mum too....or does that explain it. When i was serving in the navy i collected jokes and now i think the A4 page bookelt is in excess of 500 pages, and they still make me laugh when i read them all.

I think you should change your title to "Keyboard Comic"! I love it - keep them coming -please!!!

This is a no $hitter.

I once toured a manufacturing plant in Wisconsin that had beer on tap at all times. Any employee could draw one at any time during work hours. The only rule they had was you couldn't be noticably drunk on the job.

Probably not a huge stretch since it was in Wisconsin but the kicker comes from what they were manufacturing.

ICU/CCU heart monitoring systems. I couldn't believe it.

I used to enjoy my lunchtime drinks on a friday with people from work in the UK, dont get that over here though ;)

I believe it is part of the managerial role and the contract, that you should leave all humour at the door, go in and be a PITA every day that you can to your underlings - the is the job of management. You are however allowed to smirk in that cocky way whilst thinking - i have got you just where i want you little cube worker and i am going to make your life horrible.
