This year, is the 150th year since William Thompson made the first UWPhotography.
Thanks Bill!!!
According to a specialist, Mr William got one picture with a camera attached to a pole... (prelude to ROVs???) as it happens today, camera flooded... but the picture was saved, and Mr William said the result was not satisfactory.
So Mr. William not only invented UWPhoto, but also our disapointment with first shots!
Next year will be the 50th anniversary of the Calipso, the camera that originated the Nikonos line and popularized UWPhoto, thanks to 2 companies: Nikon Kokagu and La Spiro Techinque, owned by no other than Jacques Costeau, the famous French oceanographer.
Dont you think its the time for one more Nikonos Shootout?
Congrats to everyone!!!
