Since no one was interested in buying this HID as a DIY project, I completed this light in order to try to sell it. So, here is a:

Brightstar 12w HID fully tested to 260' for 2 hours, no leaks. What you get:
Canister, Light Head, Goodman Handle

what you'll need: Battery and Charger- easily obtained from batteryspace.com. You can use NiMH similar to the Dive Rite slim line or LiIon. The Brightstar ballast runs from 10V-16 volts. You'll also need 2 M4 screws to attach Goodman Handle.

Get on this one ASAP as it is the only one I have... I have the parts for a second one but once those are gone that is it for the 12W HID.

First $410 takes this BRAND NEW light.... Will ship to US, add PayPal fees if you want to use Paypal.

Here is a possible pack and charger

Do yo know what the Lumen out put would be? Trying to compare this light to others that I have been looking at.

THanks

dry diver keep in mind that just because one light puts out the same amount of light that at depth and different waters some lights depending on the frequency spectrum will emit a brighter light, i know alot of the hid divers i dove with have a bluer light therefore making it more pleasant and illuminates everything to a truer color i believe.

10-12W HID lights are usually manufacturer rated at around 550-700 lumens, Dashrym is correct, though.

Battery link des not work ... something like this? ... LiFePO4 26650 Battery: 12.8V 6.6Ah (84Wh, 14A rate) for Diving light

Nope, too big... This:

NiMH Battery Pack 12V 4500mAh (50Wh 10x4/3AF ) for DIY Diving light: HID / Halogen

Dimensions of canister:
1.95ID by 6.5" deep (About 10" overall)

You could also do a 3 series by 2 parallel LiIon (11.1V 4000mah or so depending on batteries used)

4000mah will give you close to 4 hours burn time.
