Just wanted to introduce myself to this massive forum! I'm John, I currently reside in Gainesville, GA and have been diving for a grand total of 3 weeks now! I have just completed my SSI OW certifications and can finally begin my journey to the depths of the sea. Well, 100ft of it I guess! My goal is to complete my Nitrox and Rescue diver courses before the end of the year as well. With MANY more to follow!

I'm sure I will meet some great people through my diving adventures, which is something I very much look forward to. Figured a great place to start would be right here! I'm always up for a trip to the Panhandle, Vortex, Loch Low-Minn, Jocassee, OBX, just to name a few nearby locations. And I hope to do a great deal of traveling with my newfound skills!

Thanks for taking the time to read my ramblings!

Looking forward to meeting some great dive buddies,

John

Yeah man, I joined your group on FB a week or so ago. Lanier scares me right now a little due to the low viz, but i'm not saying it's out of the question!
there are some areas that are not bad and you have to drop down below 50'

Thanks man! I actually trained with Doug Lane over at Dive Educators in Flowery Branch. I just got back a few hours ago from Panama City Beach, FL on a few dive trips. Had an awesome time! Yeah, if you ever need a dive buddy keep me in mind! I'm headed up to Jocassee in a few weeks and i'm thinking about giving Lanier a shot before it cools off. If you're interested it'd be awesome to meet some local divers.. Get a few trips going.

Thanks for the reply,

John
