I was sitting around the fire station yesterday and got to thinking about a place I found a few years back. About ten minutes from home there is a river called the Tallapoosa River. On the river is a place where people from the area like to go and hang out and drink a beer or twelve. Anyways, I was there swimming about 6 years ago and notice a pool of water that was really clear, considering it was a river. So I got to thinking, this may be a place to take the scuba gear. The pool of water is probably 100 feet long and maybe 50 to 75 feet wide. Although I highly doubt that it is all that deep but just the fact of the water being as clear as it was, got me curious. So I believe that when the weather warms back up here in Alabama, I may just have to load up the gear and check it out. Just sitting at home and its late and im really not sleepy so I guess I am just killiing time and thought I would share that with you/

Don't be a wuss - try it in cold weather.

You might find some cool stuff down there, assuming that the current hasnt washed it all away. Might be a good place to dive in the summer after all the drunken people have dropped their stuff-- you could make quite a haul!! ;)
