Hi, I am considering to go to Mabul Island to do some amazing Sipadan dives soon! Anyone who has been there recently and can tell me how the security of the island is. I read a lot about the "rough" past of it (with kidnappings and so), and that now army and police are present on the island...

We are traveling to Roatan at the end of October for a dive trip. I have two Suunto Cobra3's that have the quick release, which allows me to put just the computer in my carry-on bag. Has anyone had any airport security issues with dive computers?

I'm assembling a set of gear that fits in a carry-on bag for air travel. No carry on luggage. Any suggestions for a cutting tool that will pass airport security? I already have a pair of EMT scissors with 2" blades, which are ok if I'm reading FAA regs correctly. Has anyone had any trouble...
