    NRC D05R Oxygen Sensor?

Has anyone tried NRC D05R sensor for rebreather diving? I found their sensor is slightly cheaper than other Analytical Industrial and Vandagraph. I wonder if it has the same quality with them or not.

The imbalance of CO2 absorption of the rebreather scrubber

I have learned that the absorption of CO2 on a rebreather scrubber is imbalanced as there will always be some dead spaces that remain unreacted. I wonder why the scrubber works in that way?

Hi all! I'm here looking for advice on which rebreather to get! Living in Singapore, there is not much CCR diver presence and the one of the only means to get certified would be to cross the border to Malaysia (about 4 hrs) to get any form of technical diving training. The dive shop I'm...

Hey all, I'm a Senior Marine science student and diver out of Sydney AUS and have been deeply considering a rebreather at some point this year. However, most rebreather forums tend to focus on cave diving, while my diving is more like 2/3s shore dives to 18-20 meters and the other 1/3 of...

    New Halcyon Rebreather?

Saw the post this morning on Halcyon's Instagram page. Looks like they are teasing a new rebreather design / product line. Just from the picture alone it looks like a chest-mount design (which, of course, wouldn't shock anyone given how many new chest-mount models have entered the market...

    Sidemount Bailout Config?

Didn't see a thread on this so thought I would ask. If you're diving a BM unit and are sidemounting bailout, how do you have that configured? Are you running loop bungees from the backplate and using a butt plate or metal stand to clip off the SM tanks? I've seen some premade options from...

Best global locations for rebreather diving

Hi all, Here on Scubaboard there are lots of great reports of locations for OC diving and I would love to start one for CC diving. I would consider these requirements for a location to be suitable for this list: 1. You can get O2 fills 2. You can buy sorb 3. Local laws allow for rebreather...

    Square scrubber and hypercapnia

I'm putting this in the Rebreather Diving section but it could also go into the accidents and near misses section. However, I think it belongs more in Rebreather Diving as it involves a question about scrubber canister design. I have a Sport KISS and for those of you not familiar with the...
