Kentucky Bob.... Last time I was with them was last May. They send out deeper ocean dives every morning and shallow reef dives every afternoon. Cenotes are as close as 4 minutes down the street so they send trips daily there too. They book Coz trips on certain days and you must sign up well in...
I purchased an Atmos 2 a while back when Scuba Toys had them on sale. I also shelled out the bucks an interface cable to link it to my PC.
I used the cable one time (When it was brand new) and was able to link up to the laptop. That was over a year ago. I am going on vacation next week...
Your dives at Dos Ojos were Too Long.. The guide should have had you out of the water with more air than that in your tank.
What were your turn pressures?
Disregard that last statement if you guys were just burning off time at the end of your dive in the open water areas.
Just as important in having a positive experience is making sure you have your bouyancy control fine tuned before doing your cenote dives. Having a great guide and being in one of the most wonderful surroundings will only be wasted if you are freaking out while playing pinball with the ceiling...
Pm sent..
Just went down and grabbed it out of a box.
From an Oceanic Probe 2 I believe. Can send detailed photos if you would like or explain over telephone
Listen to anybody and they will tell you there is ALWAYS Turtles in Akumal Bay.
I have seen Turtles many times while diving and I really wanted to be with my wife when she saw her first Turtle while snorkeling. (her first Ray, Starfish, shark, and lobsters where great).
It was amazing to me...
I do not know if this is against TOS but here goes.

Does not want to but needs to.
It is size Large with 44lbs of lift. NEW in the packaging.
Shipped weight is 9.5 lbs from Zip Code 19713 carrier of your choice...
If you plan on diving with the same Operation all week you can take your gear into Playa and leave it at the dive shop. Just grab a collectivo into Playa everyday. I think it is 15-20 pecos (depending on the driver) from the IB complex into town.
Tip correctly at the dive shop and you might...
Might be tough trying to dive into a job down there right now. Many many people lost jobs due to a little virus. Many dive shops that usually had several DMs working everyday are doing rotations like 3 days on and 3 off just to keep spreading what little money that is coming in around. Others...
NO..... It is so they make MORE Money.... I just got back this week and while there I realized a lot of Merchants that always gave prices in Pesos now give quotes in USD.
This is to make more money!
(Examples are rounded off for clarity)
Previously the price was given as $1000.00 MX...
They may have a price list that shows prices in US dollars however when your credit card is charged....It is in Pecos. The dive shop converts (and usually in their favor) by multiplying your usd by the current exchange rate into Pecos.
The only time you will pay in usd is if you use cash or...
I have been diving with an OMS 32lb single wing as my warm water rig since 2005 and love the thing. Built in tank stabilizer is a god sent. If setup and break down is a big thing for you..... The OMS with double tank bands takes a couple of minutes and you have to thread the cam bands but the...
Tim,
PM sent....I need your Email address to send this manual.
I wonder if there is somewhere that I can send a copy of this thing to be safely hosted for the ease of all members being able to download it.
Hehe....got two... Funny thing. I was packing to go on vacation (the night...
TSherman.... With risk of possibly offending you....Yes it does matter how he died!
Knowing if there is a hazard on a local wreck to avoid, Finding out if this was a medical condition that was not really a diving accident, Learning from someone else's mistakes,Or even if it was a faulty piece...
Tsherman... You mention that he was a strong diver. Are the News reports wrong in saying it was his first dive? They may have confused it with his first dive of the day because the the wreck mentioned in the article sits at 165 feet.
I made a copy of the DEP610C manual if you think it may help.
Just PM me with your email address and I will send a copy. Let me know if you want it in PDF or DOC format.
Here is a photo of the 610 for reference
Well...thank God for the industry there are thousands of good experiences for every one bad one. You can dive with one shop all week and have great dives only to have your opinion turned around 180 degrees with one bad event.
In areas with few dive shops folks will put up with more but in an...
