Speaking of fresh water buckets for cameras, Exotic doesn't have them too. I wonder what's with it. Most other places I dive with in Asia have them! I'll see if I can buy a bucket on Malapascua when I head there next month to use as my camera rinse tank whilst on the boat.

Ambon is absolutely awesome. I was there end Dec a couple of years back and might be going back again next year. I actually prefer Ambon's waters for muck diving compared to Lembeh, although Lembeh seems to have a higher concentration of critters within a smaller area.

Hi, I'm planning to head to PNG, mostly will be in Alotau for 2 weeks mid-end Jan 2012. Other than Tawali and the Chertan LOB, are there any other spots or boats to get some diving in? The Chertan's schedule is already full booked with the 2 UW photographers' trip.

A friend was at Sogod from 13 - 17 Nov 10 and returned with whaleshark photos :) Although Donsol has them in larger numbers, but I did enjoy my time diving at Sogod way better than Donsol. Goodluck and have fun!

I know you said end-July - August. Just trying my luck here. I'll be going up to Malapascua from Mactan airport on 15 July (next week) and returning back to the airport for my flight on 29 July. Any chance of that coinciding with your travel dates to split the transportation cost with? :)

:D I had the reg already in my mouth while putting on my fins. I loved the night dive though, it's great! So much that I did it 3x in 5 diving days.
