    Starting computer

I like the Scubapro UWATEC Tec 2G. Simple, but can do multi gas. Doesn't have a lot of the bells and whistles but has what you need and not a lot of what you don't and it's about $400.

    InfraRed to USB Adapter

I have yet to find one of those that works for a 64-bit OS. Anyone know if there is anything like that out yet? And to really throw a curve, I generally run Apple products, so anyone know of one of those that works on either iOS or OS X?

Dan insurance Yes or No ?

Especially where some health policies exclude things like DCS from diving. Yes, get it. For $100 or whatever it cost, it's cheap and just look at how much an evacuation and chamber treatment is.

Two Divers Arrested for Delaying Cruise Ship Departure

Two words, Stephen Harper. I don't need to say anything else. Oh and everyone knows the best players are Czechs and Russians anyway.

    Water Temperature

It all comes down to personal tolerance. I dive California in a shortie (well, 7mm 2 piece step in but without the bottoms), so for Cozumel, I just rock a skin for some abrasion protection and I'm good.

March 2013 ...The "Who's in Cozumel" LIST!!

This is out the front door here at work. Granted that is where we've been plowing all the snow, but the fence you can see is 6 feet. It's snowing still so we'll see where it ends up.

March 2013 ...The "Who's in Cozumel" LIST!!

I wish I could escape the snow and get there a week or three earlier. Especially after this last round, I think we have like 30 inches now on the ground.

Diver lost 15 Jan 2013 Cozumel

I'm not sure I would necessarily believe the mother's statement as she is obviously not a diver herself and was not there. However, if this is true, that she signaled she was having equipment issues and was surfacing, where were her brothers? Also this does highlight just how important...

Utah: Boy Scout drowns diving in Bear Lake

I don't know about conditions that particular day, but when I dove at Bear Lake two weeks ago, at a site a couple of miles north of the Boy Scout camp, water temp was 65 at the surface with an abrupt thermocline at about 15 feet, where it dropped about 10 degrees and then progressively got...

I didn't even get slowed down or questioned when I carried mine on last week. They also did not question my SS backplate.

Utah: Boy Scout drowns diving in Bear Lake

I dive Bear Lake fairly often and was just wondering if anyone had any further details? There is a pretty dramatic thermocline there at about 15 feet, and the temperature drops like 10 degrees, was this a factor in why the scoutmaster and instructor surfaced? Also, I'm assuming this was a...

    Bahamas Diving

Getting a passport is pretty easy and (relatively) cheap. Most of the really good places on Earth you will want to dive require one.
