    Habitat Curacao Diving Pier

Was at the Habitat last year during Thanksgiving and the long pier leading from the tank room/locker area out to the water had been removed by the large waves from hurricane actions. It was to be rebuilt, but everyone knows how island time is and since there is another pier (where the boat comes...

    AVM Right Occipital Lobe

Headaches and headaches with tunnel vision are what started all activity. The loss of peripheral vision led an opthamoligist to determine that something was going on with the optical nerve system or there had been the likelyhood of a stroke. This information was communicated to my Dr. who...

    AVM Right Occipital Lobe

Have been diagnosed with an AVM in the Right Occipital Lobe, this has been confirmed by MRI and angiogram. Dr.'s have stated that diving with Nitrox is not an option and of course diving is not recommended. Why is the higher O2 level in Nitrox a bigger issue than the 21% O2 in Air? Thank you...

    external flash needed?

Clear water, no floaters in the water column and no deeper than 30 feet should be ok. Deeper than that and the pictures will be very blue tinted. You will want to get an external flash at some time, it will help to keep the backscatter down.

Would you buy yellow Scuba Pro Jet fins--not twins but regular jet fins?

Would only think about it when my Granddaughter was on her first year of Open Water dives, but she was good buddy and followed the rules. She knew to keep close in low viz. So after the first few dives they would have been something to haunt her gear closet for the rest of her life. Matter...
