So I thought I'd give the Si Tech pee valve in my new Fourth Element Argonaut a 'dry' run with water. I've dived in the suit and it doesn't leak from the outside so that is good, but I just sent a stream of clean water down the hose and most of it came out the outside, but some came out one of...
Thought it would be worth updating this thread. After 7 months I finally have a properly fitting drysuit. After initial suggestions by the Fourth Element rep that the suit could be sent interstate for alterations, my LDS really went into bat for me and organise a completely new suit with the...
Update: Turns out that they didn't include donning instructions and the LDS person who is a drysuit instructor just didn't know what they were doing with the telescoping torso. I still have slight concerns about the arm length which they have said they will alter if it is a problem in the water...
The manufacturer got back to me last night and suggested that it was because of the telescopic torso that it feels baggy. However, I have little idea what that means, I always thought it was a feature so that standard off the shelf models could fit a wider variety of people so I'm somewhat...
Not DUI, Fourth Element. I ordered it on the 13th of April and it arrived on 27th of June... 10 and a half weeks. I'm worried that by the time they get it right the season for needing a drysuit will be over. (Australia)
Thanks Marie, that helps. I appreciate the advice.
Ordered a custom membrane drysuit via my LDS and when it arrived the torso seemed awfully long and the arms long enough that the stiff dryglove rings were past my wrist with my arms at my sides. The entire length of the suit is that with the feet on the ground it is almost taller than me. It is...
Most dive computer manufacturer software is horrible. Shearwater desktop is already one of the best manufacturer created options, if they can hire a good UX designer for Shearwater Cloud they'll get a lot of new customers.
Just started using my Perdix AI and I'm loving it. Came to download my records to Shearwater Desktop and found that it was a bit lacking. I'd like to be able to record which equipment was used and especially which wetsuit/drysuit with what weight for reference. As my diving could vary from a...
Can you confirm the time zone issue is going to be fixed in this version?
Will there be an upgrade/tradeup option for 2.0 customers? (I'd wear mine all the time if the bloody time zone issue was fixed)
Anyone got any idea about sizes for these? I've seen different Aqualung size charts depending on which part of the world you're in but are they really different between regions?
eg: http://www.scubastore.com/images/pdf/cuadro_tallas/eng_aqualung_size_suit1.pdf
vs...
IF you can find a supplier locally. And I've tried, nobody in Adelaide stocks their suits. I've asked Henderson for a full list of retailers in Australia as I may take a road trip to get one.
I purchased a waterproof taurus 7mm but unfortunately it didn't fit properly (there was a miscommunication in the measurements) but the build quality is phenomenal and if I could get a size that fit properly I wouldn't hesistate to make it my primary suit.
A great friend of mine wants to learn scuba but she has an occasional medical problem in which once every 1-3 months she will black out for about 30 seconds.
Although the chances of it happening while diving are very slim, it is still a risk which would probably disqualify her during the dive...
