Suunto Vyper Air or Vytec DS

I just bought one at the London dive show. Will try it for the first next month in Sharm. How easy was the transmitter pairing and the remaining air time indicator? :blinking:

    Qomputer Quandary!

Thanks for the information. I did not realise they may be so different. I was aware from reading reviews etc. that the Suunto can be quite conservative though. In reality I do not think I would do more than two dives in a day. The Uwatec Luna manual which I downloaded recommends two hours...

    Qomputer Quandary!

This is the same as the Terra but with air integration. Terra no longer in production. Luna quite expensive compared to discontinued Terra. Seems like air integration is not an option, hence high price. Anyone know more?

    Qomputer Quandary!

Yes the Sol and Tera are great. The screen and information/layout is fantastic. I may go for the Terra but now I received an email newsletter from Suunto and they are releasing a new computer at the London Dive show next week..........oh well more choice!

    1st computer - opinions please

Vyper 2 is excellent..... but no longer in production. Now replaced by Vyper Air. Vyper 2 is a very nice bit of kit and first class for entry for you as can do nitrox and gas switch switch and therefroe has some future proof for you.

    Qomputer Quandary!

My first dive computer. Here I was all set to buy a new Suunto Vyper Air at the London Dive show next week when I read a good review of the Uwatec Galileo Terra. Latter not air intergrated........but I probably do not need this as I only use hire regulators so I cannot really use a...

    Waterproof Siirus

Hello Waterproof, I was looking to buy a nice shorty at the dive show next month in London. On your web site they look excellent with a great attention to detail offering enhanced specification than your competitors. However I did read that your wetsuits were less flexible and less giving...

Suunto Vyper Air or Vytec DS

Thanks, I suppose not all regulators would have spare port? If they do then it might be too close to other ports to screw in the transmitter (it is quite big!) and therefore your solution would work.

Suunto Vyper Air or Vytec DS

Hi JayDiaz, Let me know how you get on with your new Vyper Air. Wen will you dive with it?

    My first wetsuit Help

Hello, I am looking to buy my first new wetsuit. I am a strictly warm water diver and light traveller (live in UK) so want a 3mm shortie. I have been looking at the Swedish company called "Wetsuit" and their siirus shortie or the UK firm Neoskin (they make the Mini B). Anyone out there have...

Suunto Vyper Air or Vytec DS

Thanks for this information. How does the wireless air transmitter fit onto a short length of hp hose? does the hose have the normal fitting to the 1st stage port? Sounds a good idea but I cannot visualise it. Many thanks

Suunto Vyper Air or Vytec DS

Thanks for all that good information. I hope to buy a Vyper Air at the upcoming dive show in London. One question please. I do not have a regulator and will hire at various dive centres. If I did have a transmitter could I use it on hire regulaters. Do dive centres do this...are they okay...

Suunto Vyper Air or Vytec DS

I had recently bought a vyper 2 only to find a few weeks later that it was discontinued so I manged to get a credit not and await report from Mark on the Vyper Air. One important question for me is that if I also bought a transmitter would I be able to use it (the transmitter) at most dive...

    Hello from Jeddah

I passed my open water in Jeddah. Great diving but 8 years in SA just too much. Had to wade for ages to reach the edge but lots of fond memories. Off to Sharm next month for the Advanced. Good diving
