First time to Coz and first real dive!

Oh I forgot to mention. We did have a great time and really enjoyed the cruise. We did have time to swim with dolphins, a life long dream of hers.

First time to Coz and first real dive!

Thanks everyone for your input. The cruise was 7 months ago now. Unfortunately I did not get a chance to dive. I'll explain. We were scheduled to depart Galveston Friday afternoon around 3 pm. However we did not depart until 11:30 pm... Thursday evening a heavy layer of fog had rolled in and...

First time to Coz and first real dive!

Thanks for all the tips guys. I like the idea of investing in the local economy rather than putting back into the big cruise ship pot. We may wind up just snorkeling since my wife is not a certified diver. Either way it's gonna be awesome. I'm totally pumped. Our last trip wat our honeymoon on...

First time to Coz and first real dive!

Hey friends! Well I'm sorta new to diving. Been certified with for a while now but looking at my first blue water dive this December in Cozumel, Mexico. We are going on a cruise so I'll only have one day to get a dive in, or snorkeling at the very least. I know many of you have been down that...

Thanks muddiver. I forgot to mention that they need to be bigger than the standard sizes. I'm as small framed as they intended their users to be.

    Dive Shorts??

This seemed like the appropriate place to post this thread. Admins please move the thread to the proper discussion if necessary. Also my apologies if this topic has been beaten to death. I am looking for something very similar to the classic UDT Swimmer shorts. I want to wear these under my wet...

    Very nervous about "deep" dives

I'll agree with everyone else. I began my certification with a fear of water from a childhood experience. I knew I would struggle with the confines of my mask and the work required to breath as well as the constant fear of a catastrophic failure. I found that I was so comfortable in the pool I...

    Sportsways Waterlung "Navy Unit"

Right on. Glad to see you had the nerve to give it a try rather than shelve the unit.

    DC area Diving

Thanks for the heads up Rand. I have been looking into a weekend at lake Rawlings. Where are these "local" dive spots? I realize that we aren't talking about 50 foot visibility and warm water so I'm willing to amend my qualifications for a good dive. =)

    Oriskany in May

I'm so jealous of you guys. The Mighty O is one of the reasons I got into diving. Hope the trip turns out great for you.
