Help me improve my trim (with video)

Moving the weight forward as TSM said and then arching your back and head up as Onfloat stated will help you out. One way to check your knees is to drop your head forward. You should be able to look down your chest and just barely see the fronts of your thighs. To streamline yourself even...

    DIR and SPG

First question: A 26" hose is very nice for singles. The 24" is for doubles. When I first started I had a 24" and it was a pain. I then used a larger bolt snap. This helped a lot in clipping and unclipping it with the 26". It didn't take long before I went back to the normal size bolt snap...

Snorkel - anyone still wear theirs diving?

I don't wear one for two reasons. 1. I would get in the way of deploying my long hose in an OOA situation. 2. It can be a pain when swiming in current. Mask can flood. 3. If the conditions are rough I would rather be on my back gas. 4. Other than snorkeling - I don't have a use for it.

    Best DSLR Camera

I can only speak about the D200 as I own one and use it topside professionally. It is a great camera even though my preference is use my D2X's. I would like follow Mikes advice about going with the D80 for underwater use. The one thing that I will speak of is durability between the different...

1.My work. Last month found me paralyzed from the neck down for a short time while on assignment. I've lost two friends that were doing activities that were in the realm of what I photograph. I've been in plenty of places that were calculated, but a screw up could have killed me or someone I...

    OOA Frequency

Not a single OOA in thirty years of diving, but I have done many, many, many drills at all depths. I've also put my buddies on my long hose for air shares to conserve their supply on numerous occasions. I once came close to going OOA myself, but realized that my valve wasn't open all the way...
