    Ginnie Springs Map

As other have already mentioned, there is a lot to do to work on your skills in the front portion of the cave. My larger concern is your level of training. Your profile lists you as a NAUI instructor, but I don't see any indication that you are Cave trained. Could you provide some specifics...

V-Planner how much does it cost

Yeah, if you are going to use it for any mix diving at all, you'll want to buy it, as most of the functionality for mix diving is locked out. It is the best money I've spent for diving, however.

    Normoxic trimix

I think you are assuming that deco is always done on 100% O2 and always at 20ft in OW. There is plenty of deco done deeper inside caves, etc, where this is important.

exactly...but it's not just about balance, it is also about gas management. you don't want all your eggs in one basket if you should have a failure or need to donate.

Almost died today--Any captains out there???

After slogging through 19 pages, I've got 2 pieces of advice for blueanchor: 1) Don't dive again. Seriously, based on what I've read, you are not cut out for it. I can't imagine what would have happened if you had been in a serious predicament and not just waiting for a boat pickup on a...

    Help me understand underwater communication

As mentioned above, I'm quite happy with my hands and my light. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

So many agencies, what to do?

I should also note that I have been diving with people with NACD, NSS-CDS, NAUI, TDI, GUE and IANTD Cave certs. All have been good divers and all have had good training. I also know almost all of their instructors. All good people, all good instructors and mentors. Find the right instructor...

So many agencies, what to do?

I agree with that 100%. I had 3 months between my Intro and Cave classes. I dove every week during that period and had close to 50 Intro dives before I moved on to Cave. Having the benefit of living only a few hours from the caves was key for me. There are lots of people who don't and would...

    Here she comes....Vandenberg!!!

"I've been told they had some type of an exemption to let some National Geographic people take pictures," he said. "What's so special about National Geographic? I was taking pictures for a Web site." Hahahaha, what a clown. Yes, National Geographic and Bonsai Divers are definitely the same.

    Here she comes....Vandenberg!!!

It was like a huge magic trick... Smoke shoots up as the charges detonate, smoke surrounds the ship, smoke clears, no ship :D

How to use surface marker buoy SMB ?

if you are going to use a spool, be really careful with your fingers when deploying. if you are deploying from a significant depth, the SMB can get up a pretty good head of steam and if your finger gets stuck in the spool....well broken finger.

Cavern/Intro to Tech class report plus bonus cave dive

No worries. Yeah, always remember that as long as you have gas, the rest is just taking your time to figure things out. No gas, no need to figure anything out.

Cavern/Intro to Tech class report plus bonus cave dive

At least for NACD and NSS-CDS, the instructor can bring someone one leve above their current training. As the OP had finished her cavern course, one level above would be Intro which is what is described here. She was shown the Hill 400 jump on the first dive (shown the jump means, you shine...

LDS BS in Nitrox class today...

Wow, really???? REALLY?????????? And if your "unserviced" first stage fails, what's the plan then? It happens. Sorry, but regular reg service is not a scam. But it sounds like you've got it all figured out. Good luck with that.
