I have used both and never had a problem with power out of either. I will say that as far as ease of loading the band guns are alot easier to load and they seem to last longer.

Jphn P. try shortening your bands a littler or using bigger diameter bands. You can make your own bands to custom fit. This is what I do to give me a little more power.
