Have you really looked into RAID?? They are winning me over... free access to any of their online manuals (written or co-written by Jill) before you even take a class. I am looking seriously at their Cave2 course to finish up my NAUI Cave1 certification.

hey, if getting your MSD gets you in the water then go for it.... Personally I just see it as card collecting (and I am a PADI instructor). I would rather see a diver just diving... if there is a card that interests them then by all means pay an instructor to introduce you to that specialty...

I've heard there were caves in Table Rock, though probably have to meet up with local cave divers.

I'm pretty sure "gold" line is only in the popular caves, I did a dive in LaFayette Blue (sort of west of peacock springs) and it still had white expedition line ran though the system. Still had survey cookies in it as well. Fun little dive if you are tired of the crowds at Peacock.

I started Cave1 as a team and finished with a different instructor as a solo... so I didn't get much on the stage as a safety.. picked it up for about 5 dives and stopped because if I couldn't use it I didn't see the purpose.... though I have been carrying my AL40 deco bottle and dropping it...

My first attempt to dive there.. stuck my hand out from behind the boulder/wall and turned my dive. Later went back and did another dive with someone who knew Manatee, was appreciative for the guide..made it maybe 300' and turned the dive. I won't be going back, to afraid of missing the EOL.

you did that well before your purge... :) what you have eliminated are the 50 advertisements POST purchase that always seems to happen... it has become the norm and ignored. it is like tipping the guy at the checkout window of McDonalds... quite unnecessary , but appreciated.
