wtb Computer, recreational dive on air, used preferably, will pick-up between Kingston and Toronto on Sunday. My partner and I are flying out Monday to Provos until March. Our second booked dive op writes "all divers must have computers." If we can buy YOUR used computer instead of paying the...
Interesting, my partner and I were in the Palancar Garden's yesterday as well (Diving with Blue Angel). Current was fair (very light considering the full moon), and made for an sweet drift dive, not too quick for taking a longer look.
re: lock-out ... that's interesting, mine is locked out until that inner aluminum tube connects with the head. The POM is non-conductive so it makes a positive lock-out until the the pieces are twisted together.
This light has some power on cr123's. Wow.
Jake,
It was actually Selfbuilt's review that I saw first, and after that I came by scubaboard to ask about the light. (He's a awesome un-biased reviewer: that review got you my purchase).
Positives
1) Thanx for super fast shipping. I recieved the light today, I leave tomorrow for Cozumel.
2)...
re: the light can not accidentally activate.
The on/off is a twisty: the circuit is completed by turning the body tight against the head so the separate inner tube makes contact with the driver circuit board. The red sliding switch is variable output from 0%-%100. So the light untwisted is...
I suggest you edit the thread title, and clarify your request in the 1st post:
You are looking for dive profiles that produced decompression sickness. Also, you're looking for a few possibly-related data points.
E.g. "Request: upload dive profiles when you got bent"
Edit first post to say...
I'm at risk of becoming an ardent fan of Dive Right In. I gave up two hours of sleep last night staulking their online shop, and while my purchases were restrained by SHMBO, we'll definately head to Cozumel with some streamlined gear. (e.g. I deleted a retractor (>$20), and an octo clip (>$6)...
and I even went ferreting around for promo codes before I confirmed the order at like 4:30am this morning...
Oh, what's this? "see post #8" eh? dare I dream it? Thanx for the heads up merxlin.
OMG... I"m in Ontario, way deep in snow yet I went to work this morning (and I'll be back on the road after lunch). The rest of the office 'took a snow day' as all schools etc. were closed.
What's more, not 5 hours ago I droped $400 on a new set of Edge regs from DiveRightIn...
I spent hours...
anyone have feedback on the xtar d01 that's been fed an 18650? The little cr123's make a nice back-up option the output charts i've seen suggest an 18650 will provide a flat regulated max output for +90minutes.
My email informs me my new light is en-route ~12hours after I ordered (nicely done!)...
I'm going to Cozumel in a few weeks. The variable output with several brightness levels is real appealing. I'd prefer the emitter in a neutral tint, but this xtar light looks pretty solid. Nice enough back-up light for me, real easy to pop an pair of cr123's in there and know it'll be ready...
