    iPhone Underwater Case by FourPro

I just came across this while browsing around on my iPhone which I thought would stimulate some discussion. No-one seems to have posted it on Scubaboard before, so here you go... iPhone 4 & 4s Professional Grade Underwater Housing - FourPro It was only a matter of time before someone did this...

    Review of the Oly XZ-1

Jun, Which wide angle are you using? Any viginetting? Been some comments in other threads that the housing may not strong enough to support a wide angle. Any thoughts? Looking at this setup as my old G9 had a burial at sea last week...

Add on lenses for XZ1 in PT-050

So, now that March 1st has come and gone, has anyone managed to get their hands on the housing and test which wide-angle lenses work (well) with the PT-050?

RecSea S95 housing & Inon Grip Base??

Hi, Based on the great reviews that I've read here on SB, I've almost convinced myself to purchase a RecSea case for the S95 camera as my new rig. However, I currently have the Inon D4 grip base and would like to recycle whatever I can. I read the post about hand-tooling an adaptor, but I...

    Diving in Japan...

Hi Charles, The Tokyo area is not a "holiday diver" destination, and as such there are no english speaking "dive centers". There are three main dive clubs which head out (mainly) on weekends for those who are doing some local diving. If you're coming in on the 23rd for 4 nights, I think you'll...

    Uwatec Tec 2g -- reliable?

In the end I did! I've ordered another Tech2g and a 330. The 330 will likely just stay in my pocket incase I have problems with the 2G again, but I'll feel a lot better knowing it's there. Being in the water not knowing how deep you are or how long you've been there is not a comfortable feeling!!

    Uwatec Tec 2g -- reliable?

After two years and around 100 dives, my Tec2g decided it was time to fall apart on me. The left button popped out of the housing resulting in a flooded puck. Unfortunately it's out of warranty (only one year in Japan) so no replacement for me. But, I'll be ordering another as I feel it's the...

New iPhone App - iScubaPlan - [pics] + [video]

Brock, Thanks for your efforts on iDeco and the new Scubaplan. Very happy to have them on my phone. I've only just downloaded the app and would like to add a couple of suggestions to the growing list! First, I was going to say please add consumed gas, but I now see that's coming! Great...

    Diving Festival 2009 Japan

With a Miss Diver competition?? Interesting... Went to last years and it was better than I'd expected. Bring a heavy duty bag for the tons of brochures you'll carry away.

    Atami photos

Sorry... you'd probably need to post that one on the photography board. My knowledge isn't good enough for that. My next major investment is an HID, which should help light the subjects somewhat... but then have the additional challenge of a light in one hand, the camera in another and trying...

    Atami photos

Well done. Looks good. Your lighting looks better than I get on mine. When I get close enough to a subject like this I seem to get a lot of burn in the top left and shadows in bottom right due to the place ment of the flash. You can see the light shift in this one above, but doesn't seem nearly...

    Atami photos

Wow... same set-up... good job. Just go tthe artistic flair I guess. I've tried playing around with the P, Av and Tv settings, but not got enough ingrained photography to be able to do it on the fly before a fish darts off... I've got lots of shots of pretty coral. ;) Time to start studying the...

    Atami photos

Geoff, I've got the G9 as well, but haven't got any shots like that... still bumbling about I guess. However, got to say I do love the Camera. I've got some great shots out of it. I just need to spend some time with a proper photographer to get them to show me how it all works! Which case are...

NAUI instructor/facility needed in Koh Samui

I'm a JUE diver. Also getting ready to put the drysuit away for the summer, but got a Rescue Diver course coming up so will probably stay dry until after that. Big difference to being warm in a 3 mil shortie in Thailand.

NAUI instructor/facility needed in Koh Samui

Jagfish... funny running into you here... by strange coincidence I just finished a few days on Koh Tao where I was diving with Master Divers. While they're by no means the biggest or slickest operation on the island, they treated me very well and I can recommend them to your student. They're...

Business in Tokyo - One day to dive

Hi, I've been meaning to write, but trying to find someone who you could partner up with. Geoff's right, JUE often does dive Atami, but most of our regular divers aren't around that weekend. I've sent out a few mails to try to find a buddy, but not had any positive responses for you yet. I...

Psuedo tech diving on Koh Tao?

Jamie, Thanks for this message and the PM. Once I've doubled my dives, I'll come knocking on your doors again... I'll start saving my penies now... Looking forward to leaving the drysuit at home and diving your in your back yard.

Psuedo tech diving on Koh Tao?

Thanks for the post. Its good to get some insight into how the operations work. I sent a mail over to DJL, and am waiting to hear back. I really like the sound of the "Intro to Tech" dive day and was hoping I'd be able to work that in to my trip. But then I saw that you'd all be off over in...

Psuedo tech diving on Koh Tao?

After a couple of years of trying, I've finally managed to book a trip to Thailand... and to top it all, I started diving last year which means that I can take advantage of the deep rather than being stuck on the beaches. Somehow, I convinced my girlfriend to go home a few days early which will...
