    Thanks to all who participated

I really enjoyed the presentations! This is my 2nd year to attend and I'm already looking forward to next year. My only disappointment is that more divers don't attend. Thanks Bert, Larry, Don, and Tracy for a much needed event.

    Alexander Springs Saturday Sept. 17th.

1-- Alexander Spring is a great place to dive for those who have been out of scuba for one or more years. It is a perfect place to practice skills. 2 -- DIVERS need to bring all of their gear with them! THERE IS NO SCUBA RENTAL OR FILLS near by. Suggested gear: 3 or 5 mm wetsuit, 2 tanks...

    Friday 13th

Friday 13th might be considered "unlucky" by some but for 8 Orlando divers and a "bubble-watcher" from the Lake Mary Scuba Club it was very "lucky" The NOAA forecast was for 3-5 ft seas and 30% isolated thunderstorms out of Pompano Beach. :dontknow: The group agreed that we would check it out...

I remember that terrible day and the grief it brought teachers and students even though we were living in Louisiana at the time. I had forgotten that it was on Apr. 20.

Recommend a good Fort Lauderdale area shop for OW training please

ForceE (3 locations) if you go to the Pompano Store (Atlantic Ave.) ask for Erin, Bob, Gary, or Kim. Those are the 4 I know and they are all GREAT!

    Rest in peace bill bowden

Bill, was all the nice things posted so far! But I want to add, that he also ALWAYS took time out to encourage and assist newer divers. He had a very dry sense of humor and that may be one reason why we got along so well. I think Bill could find something nice to say about anyone. He was...

    TSA got you down?

I just flew from Orlando to New Orleans, no one searched me. :D I choose to go through the one line with the scanner (not on purpose, I just wasn't paying attention to which line I got into). My line was slower than usual, but faster than the "search line". I don't get the big deal...

I'm booked for Dec. or I'd join you, however I'm sure there are lots of KL divers who will welcome conversing with you. Although you will be required to speak English. AA? I'm not touching the "normal Canadian guy" part.:rofl3:

    Visiting Orlando!

The east coast of Florida has some of the best salt water diving in the world! my personal preference is to dive out of Pompano. This is a location especially good for the novice diver since the reef can be dived at depths of 60, 40 or 20 feet. all of the operators out of Pompano are...
