    Flooded SPG - Improper Rinsing

Dude, you started the face palming. If you don't manage to stay civilized there is no reason to start crying when you get impolite replies. I respect and appreciate your opinions, but this time you were a bit too trigger happy.

    Flooded SPG - Improper Rinsing

They're designed to work fine even when completely flooded. Salt is corrosive, but the materials used in SPGs are not prone to corrosion. Worth the risk? Depends on how risk-averse you are. The probability of a failure is vastly overrated and the consequences hardly more than an aborted dive as...

    Flooded SPG - Improper Rinsing

Cheap? I've been through a number of Termo SPGs by now, and on average they've lasted 6.5 dives before droplets start to appear inside. Those pieces of junk are $100 a piece here, so you do the math. Anyway, they're all - well, the Termo's at least - brass and other corrosion-resistant...

    Flooded SPG - Improper Rinsing

Sure, write garbage instead of checking how ridiculously much salt you actually need before this turns into a problem. Slightly clueless?

    Flooded SPG - Improper Rinsing

The droplets in your SPG didn't enter through the HP hose. Contrary to popular belief, there is no connection from the hose to the housing unless the bourdon tube is leaking. If so, the SPG is broken and needs to be replaced. I've had droplets in my SPG for years. Those crappy Termo SPGs all...

    Mountain climbing after diving

The problem with flying is the rapid ascent, just as a rapid ascent is likely to get you bent in water. When you ascend a mountain you'll offgass quicker than you climb so I wouldn't worry one bit. Cabin pressure is equal to 2700m in most commercial aircrafts and pressure will drop to that level...

    f -> fsw -> msw -> m

Aaargh. Use proper SI units for pressure, and everything else for that matter, and we no longer have to waste time on silly things like this.

Is an SPG necessary with a wireless computer?

I'd ditch the wireless and keep the SPG.

    SAC Calculation

That is correct. However, 300 bar tanks are quite common here and 320+ bar fills not unheard of. Under these circumstances Z is too far from 1 to be ignored.

    still cold

Drysuit, 400g undersuit, drygloves. A wetsuit will never keep you warm unless you stay near the surface. BTW - Waterproof and Santi both sell 10mm hoods for use in arctic temperatures.

1st stage locked on tank valve (dumbest thing I've done in a while)

Probably somewhere on the far side of the ocean, as burst disks aren't used anywhere in Europe.

How many sessions did you take to pass OW certification

The standard PADI course doesn't always comply with local legislation. There is a legal requirement here to do minimum 6 dives to become a certified diver. No nitrox for OW, and minimum one dive is to be planned to 20m. The candidates must according to law "reach a level of proficiency which...
