It's my second drysuit and I love the way it fits. The Silicone neck and wrist seals are great, haven't had to replace them yet. Much more flexible and comfortable compared to latex seals. I looks and feels much better than my older, now long scrapped Pinnacle EVO 2. I would put the Seaskin...
I thought it wouldn't be big enough for my diving, but the 30lb. DGX donut shape wing can take and dump gas real quick and makes having the right trim effortless. .
Streamlined and looks like it will last a long time.
I know instead of expensive repair or replacement of an entire BC, I just replace a component and use the BP as a foundation of my scuba unit from now. Plus DGX replacement bladder price for their 30lb. wing is $199 which in todays prices a real bargain.
Thanks for letting me know about the DGX custom BP/W package! I ordered one a few weeks ago and couldn't be happier! The whole scuba unit is much more stable on my back both in and out of the water. It keeps the tank closer to my center of gravity and makes it feel not quite as heavy. I got it...
I got my DGX BP/W in a few days ago and tried it yesterday at Lake Lanier. Man! Am I impressed! The trim and comfort and ability to customize my fit and usability of this BP/W has me really pumped! Just walking around it felt more secure and not feeling as much weight as a usual BCD setup...
Thanks for info. on this rig! I think I'm going to go with it! Looks like a top quality kit at a great price to get into a BP/W setup. Like the low profile of the wing and being able to get the tank closer to the backplate and more streamlined.
Thanks for the input everyone. Really appreciate it!
I think now I'm leaning more toward the DGX Custom Package which doesn't need a STA. ands keeps the tank closer to the backplate. I will probably get the 20lb. DR weight system since when I dive during the colder months with my drysuit...
Hi guys,
I'm thinking of going to a Zeagle BP/W in the near future. I've been looking at the Zeagle BP/W system and notice the wing nuts and bolts from the single tank adapter(STA) protrude somewhat in the backplate next to the diver and was wonder if it might tear or puncture my Seaskin Nova...
Thanks for all the info. I think I'll be getting the Zeagle BP/W with a SS plate. I have the Zeagle Ranger and Stilleto already. I'll let my son use one of those when I'm not using one of them or the Zeagle BP/W.
My adult son has now got the diving bug and was planning on getting his OW this...
Hi guys,
I am thinking of going to a BP/W set up in the future and am considering the Xdeep Ghost or the HOG TCBS( HOG dealer, Divers Supply is here in the Atlanta area)
Anyone used these two BP/Ws and how do they compare in comfort, ease of use, etc. in and out of the water with these two...
Hi,
I was wondering if I there are any SDI instructors in the ATL area that would be willing to do SDI AOW checkout dives for me at Lake Lanier? l have dove Lake Lanier for a number of years and know what to expect vis wise when diving there. Sure, it's not Florida or the Caribbean, but it's...
Hi guys,
I had thyroid cancer back in 2020 and had my thyroid removed. After 4 radioactive iodine treatments, my thyroglobulin levels had remained high.
I had a CT scan back in May and it showed a small mass, smaller than a golf ball, under my sternum, which was some of the remnants of the...
Thanks for letting me know. I bought a pair of Super Novas recently at my LDS. I'm going to try them out this Sat. at my local lake.
Can't wait to see how they do!
I went ahead an bought the Sherwater Perdix 2 w/tansmitter last month. My local dive shop had a sale going on. I haven't dove it yet, but love the screen visiblity! It should serve me well for alot of future dives.
Happy New Year!
Thanks for letting my know. I'll get with my local dive shop and pick up a set this weekend. They're on sale for Christmas.
Merry Christmas and Calm seas and clear water to you!
