I follow the 15, 15 rule. If its not 15 feet and 15 minutes I don't log it and I also don't count pool dives as dives. I do have a log book for all pool dives that include some kind of equiptment issues, but there again they are never counted as dives.

It is definitely fun. I wish it was a longer rope. And maybe something else but its a bit too dangerous to write here! It would also need extra equipment.

I didn't see any mention to the under water ice skating. Next time you got to try it. Here's what you do. When you are ready to end the dive, assend as far as you can from the hole, get inverted fill your bc, stand up (or stand down not sure what to call it) and give four tugs to the rope...

Yep, Warnberg is right if you want more time just schedule the class farther out. However if you buy one from a dive shop and go back later SOME shops will credit you back your money when you schedule you classes. I would get the coarse and schedule it out a ways if I thought I needed extra time.

My instructor wears a beanie that snaps under her chin. I'm not sure but I think is made of wet suit material. I do know it is made for diving, but not sure how it may work under a dry hood. You may be surprised 50 degrees isn't too bad.
