Hey John, what did they do to the ramp? The last time I was there with Chris and Earl the right hand side had a huge hole where it looked like an entire chunk fell off into the water. Definitely not ideal at the time but we made it. We were all talking about how badly it needed a face lift!

    Dive Buddy Brownstone Quarry 8/21 - Portland,CT

Just be prepared for a very different world than Dutch. Brownstone is a great training facility but the vis above 20' this time of year is usually not more than 5'. It will clear up below 25-30 but the temp also drops off into the 40's so make sure you are prepared. Safe diving!!

Dive Rite LT6324 battery for slimline can

Thanks to all!!! It was definitely a huge help. Got out for the first shore dive of the year on Saturday and my primary battery is I think officially dead. I charged it on Friday night and got like 10 mins out of it in the water :banghead: I thought I could crimp a new connector on the leads...

As if life was easy. Yet another U853 video!

Well if by good sized you mean a 21' RIB, then YES! :D We managed to skate over most of the swells on the way out, but definitely got bounced around on the ride and on the buoy. Not the smoothest of days but we always seem to manage pretty well and call it off when it's really too rough! Capt...

As if life was easy. Yet another U853 video!

We dove the Samson inside the Pt. Judith breakwall which is the only one I know of in the area. What else is near by? I think by the time we got back in from the 853 it was close to 3:00 and was definitely rough out.

As if life was easy. Yet another U853 video!

the video's are great as usual and there is a definite love for the arts, but that Pelican case is HUGE!! I'll take a sheltered crane barge anyday if the alternative is to not dive at all. :D And while NO it's not my favorite, I did get in some good valve drills and practice with a bag so I...

    Stonington CT Friday July3

enjoy the dive, wish I could go but will be headed up to NH for the long weekend. Vis on the u-boat sunday was only ~15' with bottom temps still down in the high 40's. Make sure to post a report on conditions

Temp on USS Bass and U-853 on 6/28

surface conditions were definitely less than ideal on Sunday, especially in a small boat. 4-5' swells and 2-3' irregular choppy waves. Noticeable but manageable surface current that slacked off after about 20 feet. Very slight current on the wreck. The sea conditions all depend on the weather...

Temp on USS Bass and U-853 on 6/28

I think I noticed about 56-58 at the surface and down to about 25', I didn't drop quite all the way to the sand but recorded 48 for a bottom temp on the 853 Sunday. And I'll call the vis ~15'. Waiting for Tampico Eduardo to post the video!

Reviews on Dive Rite 1000 Lumen HID can light for $790?

I bought this light back in April and LOVE IT!! Though I'm sorry to say I did get it on sale directly from DR for $599 :D. It is a nice light weight can that you won't even notice on your belt, with a very bright focusable beam. My only issue so far is the fact that you definitely have to cycle...
