    Longhorn in paradise!

JJ - Awesome! You always amaze me with the sea creatures you find. I never saw any of the Bottlenose Dolphins, although I read about them. I'm sure your brother will be talking about his trip for a long time. Thanks for sharing. Lonnie

    Viper!

Great pics, JJ. Must be the year for Viper Morays. I saw two in my last month of diving in Hawaii even though I'd only seen one in the previous four years of diving. I'm missing diving already.

    Viper!

Great pics, JJ. Thanks for leading the Grotto dive. That was very awesome. This was only the third time I've seen a Viper Moray (2nd time was weekend before last at Makaha Caverns -- Jess found it) and I didn't have my camera either time, so I have no Viper photos. I'm going to seriously miss...

    Moms' Day 6 tanker!

JJ - I can see your pics now (i.e. from home). I guess the site you use to stage them is blocked by the firewall at work. Great shots! It's amazing how many rare, uncommon and unique marine creatures you all found in one weekend. Where did you find the Lowfin Scorpionfish? I've only seen...

    Moms' Day 6 tanker!

Dave - Great shots, especially of the Goby and Flounder. That's a Redstriped Pipefish in the second photo -- close relative of the sea horse. For some reason, your pics are the only ones I can see on this page. The others don't show up. I think they're blocked by the firewall here at work...

    My first Harlequin Shrimp!

They were awesome dives, especially at Turtles. It was one of those dives where it just kept getting better. But, it was a bit cold though because of the winds and overcast skies. Here are some of my photos: Cowfish, little bugga wouldn't stay still for a good close-up Frogfish...

    Super Bowl Dives.. Channel Bump

JJ - Awesome pics and video. I really like the video of the two turtles at Channel Bump with the large schools of fish in front. Also, you got two of the best shots I've seen of a Green Lionfish and an Octopus. I think every pic I've ever taken of an Octopus, they've been squinting. I believe...

Electric Beach.. Tako, Honu, Cowrie, and Six Sharks!

E-beach is always a great dive, but this one was an awesome dive. Weather forecasters missed it by a long shot. It was flat with outstanding vis. Check it out below! Rest of my pics are at SugarSync - Thumbnail View Totally awesome vis by the electric plant outlet pipes There were a couple...

    Super Bowl Dives.. Channel Bump

Okay, finally got around to working on my pictures. Here are a few. I think we should call the first dive site -- Port Royal Reef -- very close if not same site. Rest of pics at http://hammack.sugarsync.com/albums/thumb/104673_70196 Ballieu's Scorpionfish (hard to photograph because they stay...

Hammerhead, turkey, 3 white tips, and a pod'o'dolphins!

Wow, another sighting of Hammerheads outside of Hickam. I need to get back out there for some dives. Let me know when you're going out again. I have to work Mon-Weds this week.

    Halona Blowhole 12-6-08 pics

Lots of Spotted Boxfish. I've seen Cowfish here several times, but not on these dives. No white-tips. I've never seen them at this site. I didn't notice soft coral, but I'm told there is a lot out there.

    Halona Blowhole 12-6-08 pics

Halona Blowhole isn't that rough. You need to watch for low surf and low wind, preferably Kona winds. It's a beach entry just like Electric Beach. Even if the surf is up a bit, you can get in between the sets and drop down in the cove (i.e. the mouth of the cove can be very rough). The path...

    Halona Blowhole 12-6-08 pics

D/J - Great shots! I posted my pics at SugarSync - Album View. I didn't get any good shots of the Zebra Moray (or the Dwarf Moray and Cusk Eel), but I got shots of several other eels and the Eagle Ray. I agree on the Green Lionfish ID, but it is odd that the red doesn't show around its eye...
