There still seems to be some disagreement on each side of this question about the stability of each type of BC. I like the definition of stability that SPHYRNA uses above, and I quote "Neutral stability, like neutral buoyancy, means that the BC/tank combination does not tend to put you in any...
I see in the OMS catalog that they make a steel tank that is 26' X 7" dia.
That is close to the one you are talking about. The listed working pressure is 2640 psi and show the volume is 85 cu ft. This shoule be close.

I have not made it to San Carlos yet. It is at the top of my list. Several divers around here go there frequently. I can drive there in about a day.
We used to live there in Albuq. for about 14 years.
Maybe we will meet up some day.

Hi Michael,
I am in Las Cruces. Never been to Santa Rosa. Hope to make it some time. If I should take my AOW, the deep dives are made there. Where do you live??

This is the second time I have heard someone say that a BP/W does not work well for photography. What, specifically, does the BP/W not do well when photographing something??

Excuse my ignorance, but where/what is CSSP. I know where Athens is - used to live there many years ago, but can't figgure out where CSSP is. Thanks.

There are at least two in Albuquerque. The guy that owns the one in Las Cruces, 'Punk' is a great guy. Been in the business a long time, very knowledgable and will talk your leg off if you let him.

My experience with PADI was just the opposite of yours. My first class was about 2 hours instruction followed by 1 hour in the tank. My later pool lessons were on two different nights and were 3 hours each. The cert. dives were made over a week-end.
I think it is the instructors lacking...
Hi Larry,
Thanks for the info. I have been to Balmorhea before. Very nice place. I may be there with a local group about the 1st of 2nd weekend in Feb. Maybe our paths will cross some time. Thanks.
