Not sure off the top of my head, but the metric size is listed in the back of your owner's manual.

The great Suunto data cable thread (incl DIY)

The size of the disclaimer reflects my level of frustration... and my attempt to do everything I can to prevent Suunto/Aqualung from having me banned from Ebay in an attempt to crowd out the competition so to speak. I've only had good things to say about Suunto in the past and hope that this...

The great Suunto data cable thread (incl DIY)

As of just a few minutes ago, I have not heard anything further from either ebay or aqualung. The title now reads: PC Interface / Download Cable for Suunto Dive Computers and I have an obnoxiously obvious disclaimer at the top of my listing. The listing that was removed stated that the...

    $100 for a $10 USB cable

I'm not sure on this, but from what I've read in this thread, you can buy either a serial or usb cable for this dive computer. If that is the case, the circuit you see in the picture above is probably mostly for adapting serial levels from the dive computer to the usb port on your pc. If...

I only said it "could" be a problem... reason being that the connector only has to move ever so slightly for the small strips on the plug to lose contact with the dive computer since there is no spring action like my design as well as suunto's design uses.

I haven't been removed from Ebay yet... and yes, Aqualung was indeed the party responsible for the removal (I asked) and was given the email to the company representing them which is Netenforcers. No specific reason was given (which sucks) and Ebay stated that they did not have to give a...

I thought I should inform the board about recent actions taken by Aqualung... Today, Aqualung had my listing for interfaces removed from Ebay... Why? Because they can I guess. The only thing I could see is that they claim I'm not an authorized internet dealer of suunto products... no duh...

    Sdm 2.0.1

Guys, my advice to everyone is to not use the new version until these problems are worked out which may be quite a while... that is unless you're loaded and have the new suunto model that requires it. version 1.6 works fine and actually isn't that old anyway. As I'm sure a lot of you...

Since I also make them, I purchased one from him to see what it was like. He originally tried to sell just the circuit to me to be used in my units before he began selling them on ebay. His price to me was much too high so I declined his offer. What you get is an interface with a rg45? plug...

    Suunto Dive Manager problems

Gannon, you aren't logging those dives by hand on Divemanager are you? If you enter dive information into divemanager before you download any dives, a lot of times it won't transfer and you'll need to uninstall and reinstall divemanager. Sounds odd, but I've had about a dozen people report...

    Suunto Dive Manager problems

Gannon, it looks like maybe your com port might be disabled or something else is using the port. From what you said, its a windows configuration problem or the drivers for the adapter aren't installed correctly. Do you have any other devices that use the usb port? If so, their software could...

Just as a quick note for those that may not have read it in this thread or elsewhere... version 1.51 has a bug that causes the software to not recognize either my interface or Suunto's interface but generally transfers are still possible with version 1.51 as long as you have the correct com...

The great Suunto data cable thread (incl DIY)

I don't use one personally (usually), but a great number of my customers do and I haven't heard of anyone having any problems with any specific brand/model. I bought one off ebay (no name) for I think $3.85 that came with drivers and worked fine. Please don't email me asking who I got it from...

The great Suunto data cable thread (incl DIY)

Just for anyone that may read this/be interested in purchasing an interface, I would like to provide an update. As of 10/20/04, I will (for the first time this year) be completed caught up on orders and begin to produce units to hopefully compile some inventory of these so that I can get all...

    Lake Lanier: Diving Compendium

Guys, just found this thread. I and possibly a buddy of mine would be glad to join in. I live in Athens and he's in Atlanta. I have a small (16') bass boat that I can use to get myself out there if need be. I'm up for drysuit diving so email me and lets get this show on the road if it isn't...

Lake Keowee SC access near the Jocasse dam?

Scubaboy44... The area of "The Wall" in Jocassee was actually not a quarry before the lake was there... The Wall was formed because they used the rock removed from there to build the dam. There is a book called jocasse remembered that tells about what the area was like before the lake was built.

    Backup?

Never had a single problem with mine... my battery has actually lasted longer than expected as well since I do so many test transfers with it. I don't have my cobra up for sale, but have been thinking of going to a vyper or vytec instead so if you're interested in mine possibly, email me. It's...
