Blue Angel's Boats don't fit more then 8 people, so you have that guarantee.

Blue Angel Resort, Cozumel. We have been there 3 years in a row and love it - all rooms ocean front, great staff, great dive op, great food at the restaurant on site.

Probably next spring - we just returned from Cozumel, and the best way to get over sadness of a vacation being over is to plan the next one!

We also love BA and would not stay anywhere else. Glad you love it, too! The traffic noise is not a problem. There is a speed bump on the street in front of the hotel, so cars slow down and speed up, but traffic really slows down at night.

I second this! All ocean view rooms. Boats leave at 8:00am, earlier then others, and get to the sites first. Food is very good.

Wet Wendy's and Pancho's Backyard.

You are making your first real dive in a spectacular place! Columbia Deep and Columbia Shallow would be good for you. The shallows are a great shallow dive, great for beginner, and you will see lots of life. Although, I must say, there are no bad dives in Cozumel. Have a great time!

I never had rain bother a dive. Look at it this way, you can rinse your gear while you are still in it!

Nice trip report. We never went to the same dive destination twice, until now. We will return to the Blue Angel for the 3rd year in a row next May. It''s still the best place on the island! Like you said, can't beat that view every morning!

We only turn on the computer to edit dive videos and set them to music, otherwise, I agree. Do: Go to Wet Wendy's for a frozen drink. Don't: Do the above until after diving- LOL! Also the ceviche at Wet Wendy's is to die for.
